Below, there are some hints of what Altoros have been doing lately.
New Technology Expertise
Between October and December, Altoros’ technology-specific teams completed a number of projects and gained new technology expertise:
a) Interactive Agencies
Altoros has launched a new outsourcing program aimed at helping interactive agencies to empower their Web-driven and social media capabilities, accelerate project delivery cycles, and support high-paced delivery of Web-driven customer initiatives. Altoros aids by assembling a highly-performing team of architects, designers, developers, and quality assurance engineers across Silverlight/.NET, PHP/Python, Adobe Flex/Flash and AJAX/JSON, and most popular APIs (MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, Hi5, and OpenSocial).
b) Adobe Flex, Flash, C++
Altoros’ dedicated team of 30 engineers is currently working on a number of Adobe Flash/Flex-based gaming applications for Online Casinos. The team develops the client side of the casino, which consists of the casino lobby and multiple gaming applications that need to be delivered in short timeframes. Besides Adobe Flex and Adobe Flash, the team uses C++ to develop the lobby part of online casinos. The games will be used in our customer’s online casinos, such as, for instance, intercasino.com, playboycasino.com, vipcasino.com.
Supporting Technology Community
Altoros organized the latest joint Belarus Java User Group and Adobe Flash Platform User Group meeting, which was held on December 18, 2008 and featured keynote speakers from Adobe and SUN Microsystems. The meeting garnered the attendance of over 120 people with over a dozen more following the live broadcast online. Cornel Creanga, the Java Technical Lead at Adobe, spoke on integrating Flex with Java back-ends, while Alexander Zuyev, Technology Evangelist at SUN Microsystems, delivered a review of the new JavaFX development platform.
